IPOLICY NETWORKS ADDS ANTIVIRUS FUNCTIONALITY TO ITS FIREWALL SECURITY APPLIANCE

iPolicy now offers a ‘drop-in-deployment’ Inline Anti Virus solution to its customers which can either operate as an independent or as integrated with other security mechanisms in iPolicy’s leading Intrusion Prevention Firewall Platforms. The Intrusion Prevention Firewall security appliances with integrated antivirus protects against the entry of viruses, worms and other network- and application-level attacks to help enterprise customers effectively secure remote sites, branch offices and telecommuters.

iPolicy's Anti Virus options enable in-line scanning of your web and e-mail traffic to detect blended threats, viruses, and potentially harmful content. Enabling virus scanning does not mandate any changes to your DNS or Web/Mail Server network configuration. The Intrusion Prevention Firewall scans HTTP, SMTP, and POP3 traffic to detect viruses and optionally quarantine the infected contents. The configuration allows you to specify that e-mails should be disinfected before delivery on detection of infected content. Antivirus option also allows you to configure the mail content filters, specify mail Black Lists and White Lists, and enforce restrictions on mail size and the maximum number of recipients. The traffic from specific web sites and of a particular MIME type can be configured for exclusion from virus scanning. Antivirus option also enables you to configure e-mail notifications on detection of malicious traffic.
